Important: You don’t need to be active on every protocol listed below. However, interacting with more smart contracts generally increases your on-chain activity and can be beneficial.
DEXs on Base:
As an example, here’s how to do it on SushiSwap:
- Visit the website, connect your wallet, and select the Base network.
- Choose the asset, enter the amount, click “Swap,” and approve the transaction:
- Open the “Explore” tab and choose the token pair you want to provide.
- Press "Add Liquidity" and create position.
- Enter the amount for each token and click “Supply”. Sign the transaction:
Mint NFTs

Mint NFTNFT purchasingOn the Base network, you also have the opportunity to trade NFTs on various NFT marketplaces.
Important: You don’t need to be active on every marketplace, but the more smart contracts you interact with, the better!
For example, let’s go through the process of buying and selling NFTs on Element Market.
Buying an NFT:
- Visit the website and connect your wallet. Make sure to switch the network to Base.
- Browse and select a collection you like.
- Click “Buy Now” on the NFT you want and confirm the transaction.
Selling an NFT:
- Go to your profile and select “My NFTs.”
- Choose the NFT you want to sell and click “List for Sale.”
Basenames

- Visit the website and connect your wallet.
- Enter your desired domain name and select it if it’s available.
- In the popup window, click “Register Name.”
- Claim the Based role on the Guild website.
